Google Groups Email List

The difference between a forum and an email list is in a forum whenever any of the members posts, the other members get a notification. In an email list, only the admin or manager can post in, if followers try to post into the group, nothing will happen. Email lists are good for extremely large lists of email addresses, where having every follower receive a notification whenever any other follower posts something, could get very cumbersome, very fast.
