This Google group will behave like a forum. Whenever any of the members posts a new topic, all members will receive a notification. Forums are better when they contain a smaller number of members and focus on specific things. You could have a forum dedicated to a specific area of Seattle, or if you were talking about a less densely populated city you might talk about the whole city, or bundle some cities if they share a common border, or talk about a county if the population density is low. You could have a forum for specific skills or tasks. A group of computer experts could get together to complement each others strengths and weaknesses when developing tools and solutions for volunteers. You could have a group of writers get together to do the same thing and help us generate business letters, volunteer recruitment outreach letters, letters to newspaper, radio, tv. etc.
